Achieve Excellent English - Terms and Conditions

1. 1: You are currently not under any contract to study with TutorAbc and you have not been a TutorAbc client/student during the last 3 months.

2. 2: You will participate actively in all class activities.

3. 3: You will meet the required standard at each level of our course before proceeding to the next level. I.e. Beginner to Intermediate or from Intermediate to Advanced.

4. 4: You will not use profanity during any lesson or in any way harass your tutor verbally or in writing.

5. 5: You will not discuss politics or religion during any lesson.

6. 6: You will not record by means of audio, video or computer software any of the information presented to you during a lesson.

7. 7: You will not answer or make telephone calls during lessons unless you turn off your microphone.

8. 8: When AEE provides a one to one private tuition no additional individuals or parties will be permitted to participate in the class in any way unless this has been authorised by and prearranged with AEE.

   a) Failure to comply with the above will result in the immediate cancellation of your lesson or course without refund of payments made to AEE.

9. 9: No booking for a one to one session or a group session will be accepted unless you agree to the AEE Terms & Conditions.

10. 10: Regarding tuition to non-corporate clients.

    a) All lessons are scheduled to have a minimum and maximum duration of 45 minutes; this includes any time the client may use attending to personal emergencies, answering phone calls, going to the toilet, etc.

    b) Lateness: Clients who are unable to start their lesson at the scheduled time due to unforeseen or personal reasons will not be credited with any additional time at the end of the 45 minute period, regardless of the reason for the lateness.

11. 11: Regarding Corporate Clients:

    a) Clients will agree in writing to a specific course and the duration of the course in hours.

    b) All lessons will have an agreed start and finish time.

    c) All lessons will have an agreed duration in minutes.

    d) Lateness: Clients who do not start their lesson at the scheduled time due to unforeseen or personal reasons will not be credited with any additional time at the end of the 45 minute period, regardless of the reason for the lateness.

12. 12: AEE English classes are only available at the times and on the days shown on the booking schedule.

13. 13: No English session will be conducted without receiving prior payment and confirmation of payment via PayPal.

14. 14: The only acceptable method of payment is by electronic transfer using the PayPal system.

15. 15: CANCELATIONS: notice of Cancellation or non-availability for a lesson must be received by AEE via email a minimum of 24 hours before the scheduled start time of your lesson. No refund will be given, however AEE will do its best to re-arrange an alternative date and time to conduct the cancelled course or lesson during the normal AEE teaching times and days shown on our booking system.

    Rebooking a cancelled tutoring session is subject to availability and at the discretion of AEE.

    a) If you give AEE less than 24 hours’ notice, you will lose the lesson and no refund of payments received will be given.

    b) We do not refund payments to clients that arrive late for their course, need to leave early, are absent on the day or decide to change their course once payment has been received.

    c) If you decide to shorten the duration of your lesson or a course, the fees you have paid for unused minutes, hours or weeks will be neither be transferred nor refunded.

16. 16: AEE reserves the right to cancel a course, or make changes to course arrangements, without liability, if forced to do so for reasons beyond its control, e.g. loss of electricity or internet service from the service provider.

17. 17: In the event of AEE having to stop a lesson or course or a client has to leave the class early for reasons such as natural disaster, fire/flooding/terrorism etc., which are beyond the reasonable control of AEE, AEE will seek to arrange alternative dates for the lesson or course.

18. 18: If AEE cancels a lesson or course booked and paid for by a client, in accordance with these Terms and Conditions, other than for reasons beyond its control, and is unable to offer an acceptable alternative to the client, AEE will refund the cost of the cancelled lesson or course via electronic bank or PayPal transfer.

19. 19: Clients who purchase packages of either 5 lessons or 16 lessons must use them within the following period of time:

    5 lesson packages expire 5 weeks from the date of purchase.

    16 lesson packages expire 8 weeks from the date of purchase.

    Please remember your purchase date. We will email you the expiry date of your package and will do our best to send an email to remind you of the expiry date at the halfway point.

    Packages of five lessons not completed within 5 weeks, or packages of sixteen lessons not completed within the 8 week period will not be extended under any circumstances and no refunds for any remaining lessons will be given.

20. 20: Holidays: If a client wishes to be absent from a course for 1 or 2 weeks for the purposes of taking a holiday they must give AEE at least 2 weeks’ notice in writing via email and receive confirmation of their email from AEE. AEE will seek to arrange alternative dates and times for the same course, subject to availability on our scheduling system.

21. 21: Do my package price lessons expire?

    Yes, you must use your lessons within 5 to 8 weeks. 5 lesson packages expire in 5 weeks. 16 lesson packages expire in 8 weeks. Please remember your purchase date. We will email you the expiry date of your package and will do our best to send an email to remind you at the halfway point. Packages of five lessons not completed within the 5 week, or packages of sixteen lessons not completed within the 8 week period will not be extended under any circumstances and no refunds for any remaining lessons will be given.

Prospective clients with a visual impairment, hearing impairment or learning disability

Clients that have impairments that could affect their ability to participate in classes or understand the written information presented e.g. Dyslexia (difficulty reading), Dysgraphia (difficulty writing), and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

We can usually effectively teach clients with some impairment to their sight or hearing, but our courses are probably not suitable for the visually impaired (unless they are happy to receive strictly conversational English lessons that do not involve them reading, looking at text, illustrations or pictures).

Our courses are probably not suitable for those with a hearing impairment that does not allow them to hear clearly when spoken to.

If you are dyslexic it would be very helpful if you can tell us in advance and it is advisable to book one to one lessons. This will enable us to adjust the course syllabus and the amount of material we expect to teach in each lesson.

This will help us to determine if we are capable of providing you with the high standard of service that is intended for all our clients.

Liability

AEE reserves the right not to teach any individual who does not comply with our terms and conditions.

These terms issued by AEE, give the only terms and information that can be referred to in the event of a disagreement between the client and AEE. These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights.

Personal Information

AEE keeps all information supplied by clients for the purpose of facilitating future bookings with clients confidential and will not sell or disclose any information supplied by clients to any third party.

The information you give us is kept securely on our password protected computer system. All information will be destroyed upon written request by our client.
